Right outside s’Heerenberg on the border between Germany and the Netherlands lies a simple, but modern warehouse complex. A warehouse with a mezzanine floor with an extended office attached makes out the components of this rational and sustainable construction.
The elegant office stands out clear and pure with its white facades at the entrance gate to the complex. This is followed by a warehouse which has more to show, than visible at first glance. The entire complex has been certified by the sustainability standard of BREEAM with the score “very good”. On the roof of the warehouse, you also find a smaller solar cell plant, with an effective production of energy. Around the area windmills are found and this sustainable design is very much in familiar surroundings.
