Since 2002, JYSK’s head office has been located with a delightful view of the lake at Brabrand. The original head office was augmented by a new wing of 3,000 m2 in 2009, and will now be extended by a further 3,700 m2 in an effort to remain at the forefront of the enterprise’s continued growth.
The building is shaped like a twisted square that is reminiscent of a square-shaped farmhouse with a fine, green courtyard in the middle. The extension has been designed with considerable respect for the existing building with an eye for detail and a good feeling for the structure as a whole. The domicile is adapted to the site and highlights and respects the attractive rural location with a view of the river valley of Brabrand Ådal – also from the rooftop terrace, which further exploits the location and creates a recreational oasis on the roof of the building.
