In the interior of HerningCentret the indoors street and shop facades are converted into a high ceiling, bright and modern street. ak83 arkitekter have been in charge of designing the project in cooperation with the engineering company Midtconsult and the Center's owners, HerningCentret I/S and Difko 57.
The ceiling height of the existing slightly pressed center street is increased to 8 m thanks to a new steel truss construction. The daylight in the indoors street comes down through large circular skylights. The new high shops facades are made of glass and steel. In the future, the street will appear light and airy, with its slightly arched facades.
The new flooring will have a nice interaction with the exisiting street design. Due to the redesign of the indoors street, the stores get a larger sales area. Kvickly rebuilds their shop according to their latest concept and design.
Thanks to the the whole remodelling, the existing office area becomes visually connected with the new indoors street. The renovation also allows the extension of the office space.
The renovation is carried out as a total contract of C.C. Contractor A/S.
