Over time ak83 has designed several shopping centres. In 2017 the rebuilding, renovating and expanding of Amager Centret was finished. The expansion results in more and bigger shops, including a new 1.200 m² grocery shop and a center square in the middle. A part of the existing passage was already covered by a glassroof, while the rest is now connected under a continuous roof of steel and glass. The pavement inside and outside is changed to dark and light granite. The dark one indicates the walking area and guides the costumer through the center.
The costumers of Vestamager Centret are from the local area. The rebuilding, renovating and expansion attract people from the surrounding areas.
