20-metre-high robot-controlled warehouse creates a new centre for Lundbeck’s distribution in Scandinavia

Major pharmaceutical firm H. Lundbeck’s site in Valby is more or less a complete neighbourhood in itself. The new automatic high bay warehouse is 20 metres high and will become a symbol of the strategic shift that is taking place in the global pharmaceutical firm’s distribution and logistics.

The high bay warehouse is constructed in concrete elements and clad with fine facade details. Facing out onto the street is a long, narrow, two-storey building whose first floor is full of the complex equipment that ensures the correct climate in the warehouse. Correct storage is of crucial importance with regard to the effectiveness of the pharmaceutical products, and ak83 has been able to apply its many years of experience and reliable consultancy services within storage and logistics with chilled and frozen products.
